Hebron Baseball is happy to announce that we have been awarded the 2015 U9 Regional tournament to be hosted at Burnt Hill Park starting on August 1st, 2015. This is not only a big deal for Hebron Baseball but also for the Town of Hebron as teams from all over New England will be visiting us, playing on our fields and staying in our community for a week’s period of time. In 2014 we were successful in landing the U10 State Tournament in Hebron and in 2015 we are following that up with an even larger scale event that will put the Cal Ripken Youth Baseball Regional tournament right in our own backyard. Two years ago the Hebron Baseball Board of Directors put together a 5 year plan with one of the key initiatives being:
Build a successful platform for hosting tournaments on an annual basis. Instill the vision of being the “Tournament Showcase Town” in Eastern CT.
I’m happy to say that in year 3 of this plan, we are well on our way to making this initiative a reality. This is good news for the players, parents and everyone involved in the Hebron Baseball program as it gives us a larger focus within the Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken organization and ensures positive momentum for the future.
